On June 17, at 17,30 in VIVACOM Art Hall, there will be a lecture and a discussion with Carlos Saura. The eminent Spanish director, who won number of awards from world movie festivals, arrives in Bulgaria, so he can be honored with the title – doctor honouris causa – given by the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts 'Krastyo Sarafov'. Saura will meet his admirers in VIVACOM Art Hall, where he will present his project 'Saura's aura'
During the event, fragments from his new movie, a special photographic collection, and also parts of his distinctive works of art, made with his hybrid technic 'FotoSaurio' which combines drawing applied on a photo. The lecture will end with a discussion with the guests of the event.
Carlos Saura was born in 1932 in Argon and he's a father of 7 children from two marriages. He comes from a family of painters and his strong interest in photography from early age defines his creative growth. After graduating film directing in Madrid, he starts a successful film career and he creates 42 movies – Antonio Banderas is present in the latter one. He becomes world-famous with his musical movies such as 'Carmen' (1983) and 'Tango' (1998); he possesses some of the most prestigious film awards; and he was nominated for Oscar three times.
